Youth Dialogue?

What?

The EU Youth Dialogue is the dialogue with young people and youth organisations involving decision-makers, as well as experts, researchers and other relevant civil society actors.

When?

The EU Youth Dialogue is organised into 18-month work cycles. Each cycle focuses on a different thematic priority.

Who?

The success of EU Youth Dialogue depends on the direct involvement of young people and youth organisations. During each cycle, every EU country conducts a national consultation of young people, policymakers, youth organisations, and YOU!

The Youth Goals

Take a look at the video from the EU Youth Conference when the Youth Goals have been announced in 2018.

The Youth Goals are the outcome of the Dialogue with Youth which took place in 2017/18.

They represent the views of young people from all over Europe.

EU Youth Delegates ’23 – Meet Sara, Harry and Ricardo!

Hello!

My name is Sara. I am 25 years old and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in transnational law at the University of Luxembourg. I actively advocate for young people’s inclusion in the decision-making process, both on a national and international level. I am also passionate about climate change, sustainability, and gender equality.

As a EU Youth Delegate, I strive to represent Luxembourgish youth at European level and ensure that young people’s rights are respected and voices heard. The European dialogue will allow US young people to make OUR needs known and tackle current issues with key policymakers.

Let us work together to achieve change!

Sara

Hello there,

I’m Harry, a Student, a Scout, a European and now also a Youth Delegate. In those last few years, it appeared more and more important to make the voice of young people heard, their ideas considered, and their opinions respected.

I believe that every youngster has a part to play in this endeavour and I will try to do my best to advocate for a better future, for youth but also for society as a whole. “The more youth begin to recognize that they have a voice, the more change is possible.”

Harry

Hello there,

I am Ricardo, and I am 23 years old. I am currently studying History with a minor in European cultures at the University of Luxembourg. My reason for applying for this position was to be more involved in the European landscape and add fresh ideas which hopefully will make a difference on a European level.

I strongly advocate for gender equality, the dissolution of gender-based violence and the promotion of awareness for gender equal-rights. Ultimately, as your EU Youth Delegate, I will try to represent Luxembourg as best as I can.

Ricardo
